This 167 Handbag is crafted from sleek, chic crosshatch leather in cobalt blue & black. An elegant handbag with a refined profile, the 167 is a re-imagining of a handbag from the Asprey archives. Its distinctive trapezium shape is inspired by the line of ocean liners, from the golden age of ocean cruising. It is named after the Asprey London Flagship store – home for more than 200 years – 167 New Bond Street.

When deerskin meets lacquer. Asprey Crosshatch leather has been skilfully prepared for Asprey by an artisan tanner & printer in Japan. The Inden technique has been honed for more Than 400 years, since the establishment of the maker in 1582. The leather was originally used to make the decorative parts of Japanese samurai armour because of its unique softness & lightness paired with its flexibility & strength. The leather has been processed and decorated using specialist techniques, originating and still being produced today only in Koshu, Japan. The leather Is tanned, dyed and silkscreened on site in individual panel.
Maintain the beauty of your Asprey crosshatch leather handbag to ensure it endures though time. Avoid direct contact with heat, water, light & oil, as well as any situation that is either too humid or dry. Wipe away any moisture as soon as possible. When not in use, replace the custom-made kid suede cushion provided inside the handbag to hold its shape, store it in the dust bag provided and in a clean, dry, temperate atmosphere. Commercial care products are not kind to Asprey crosshatch leather handbag. A soft dry cloth is sufficient to maintain the beauty of the leather.
